Site Maintenance
A web site should be a dynamic document, changing on a periodic basis to keep your content fresh. It should grow and change as your organization grows and changes.
We offer a variety of maintenance options for our clients. In many cases, we build a simple, custom content manager that allows clients to update their own sites using a web-based form. In addition, we offer Adobe Contribute, a visual editor that allows clients to update certain portions of their site without compromising scripting and programming areas that should remain untouched. We also offer full maintenance services with quarterly maintenance agreements.
Content Management Software
We bsites can be developed in Drupal or Joomla, to provide a Wiki-like content management solution for your web site. The Clarkson Pep Band Alumni Association web site was developed in Drupal and allows for community interaction and updates.
We can also provide dyanmic page updates through custom database applications. In most cases, this involves a news or calendar management page, allowing instant updates to your web site. Pete Weise uses a custom management tool to keep his Gig Schedule up to date.
IMC Maintenance
Hourly
For one-time updates, we bill clients on a time and materials basis. Most updates are quick and can be done within an hour or less. We bill in 15 minute increments after the first hour.
Maintenance Contract
For clients who have regular updates on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis, we offer maintenance contracts. The contract is a quarterly flat fee that will cover all updates to your site. To establish the fee, we bill on a time an materials basis for the first three months and then establish a quarterly fee that offers a discount off our regular hourly rate.
Macromedia Contribute
For clients who want to update content on their own, but don't have the HTML skills necessary, we recommend Adobe Contribute. Contribute allows users to update the content without accidentally deleting something that might "break" the web site.
In addition to the regular Contribute documentation, we provide custom documentation for the features clients use most and provide one-on-one training for new users. Pfeil & Company is using Contribute to manage their Powers Park Lofts and The Conservatory at Troy web sites.
